2024I enjoyed being on a cruise that provided an educational element
This was my first trip on Viking and it was impressive, especially comparing it with other cruise lines that I have traveled with. Pretty much everything was great! The ship was quiet, the decor was calm and tasteful, everything was clean, and the crew was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. For example, I asked one of the Guest Services staff if there was a way to get me copies of the Viking Daily. On the last night, I found printed copies of all the newsletters in our cabin. Someone took the time to do that and it is greatly appreciated! Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was wonderfully spacious. I loved the blanket so much that I bought one! The food was very good and the kitchen was accommodating with my choice of a gluten free diet. The Explorers' Lounge was a hidden gem. It was a great place to see what was happening and enjoy a drink or snack. The lectures were diverse, with unexpected topics, such as the DNA presentation, and the music events were very entertaining. I enjoyed being on a cruise that provided an educational element. Having our fridge refilled every day was a great perk. My roommate and I signed up for the World Cruise! We are looking forward to it! Thanks for a great trip!

2024The food in all the restaurants was superb
This was our first cruise, and we loved absolutely everything about it. The staff treated us like special friends, and they couldn't do enough to make our trip comfortable and memorable. The cabin was immaculate, serviced twice a day by wonderful stewards, Putu and Avie, and the bed was luxurious and comfortable. Everything worked beautifully and delighted us, from the heated bathroom floors to the fridge being restocked each day. The Viking Daily, which we received each evening, was informative. The port talks and guest lecturers were great. I especially enjoyed Peter Mawby's talks and his wildlife watch sessions on the deck. My husband loved Dr. Raymond Arvidson's talks. The Spa and Fitness Center were fabulous. There was a huge amount of equipment, and many guests enjoyed working off the copious 5-star food we had all enjoyed. The sauna, snow grotto, cold pool, and swimming pool with hot tub were also great. There were no additional charges for any of this. I also swam in the infinity pool on the Aquavit Terrace, which was a perfect start to the morning. The food in all the restaurants was superb. We ate at Manfredi's, the Chef's Table, the Restaurant, and the World Cafe. The choice and quality of all the food was great. The gelato was so delicious. We had the best holiday of our lives and enjoyed every day and every moment. It was so good that we booked a river cruise for next year with Roy, the travel consultant on board the ship, and a long ocean cruise for 2026 was booked when we got home. Thanks Viking, you have new friends for life as we will return many times more.
