Or visit the bustling farmers’ market in Fairfax, the city’s open air dining emporium. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Los Angeles so you can make the most of your visit.

Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Los Angeles

Day 2 - Los Angeles, California

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Los Angeles. You may choose to take a scenic tour of the city, viewing sights such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Dolby Theater and the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Or, pass the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and pause for photos of the iconic Hollywood sign. Alternately, head to Burbank, where you can tour the backlots of Warner Bros. Studio. This evening, dine at your hotel or at one of the city’s many fine-dining establishments. (B)

Santa Monica Pier, California

Day 3 - Los Angeles, California

After breakfast, embark on a panoramic drive along the coast through Santa Monica en route to the Getty Villa in Malibu. This esteemed museum is home to more than 1,200 Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities. Enjoy a guided tour of its vast collection of priceless artifacts, then stroll around the villa’s grounds. Arrive in New York, where you will meet your Viking host at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Then, you may spend time relaxing or set out to acquaint yourself with the city. Perhaps you will take in the elegance of Grand Central Station, the vibrant energy of Times Square or the green oasis of Central Park. This evening, you may choose to join an optional excursion to see the lights of the city from the Empire State Building’s top deck.

Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City

Day 2 - New York City, New York

Enjoy another day to explore New York at your own pace, perhaps joining an optional excursion to visit the Museum of Modern Art before its doors open to the public. Try a slice of New York cheesecake or a real New York–style pizza. Board an elevator to the top of the Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center to marvel at magnificent views of all five boroughs and the bustling harbor. Day 3 - New York City, New York

On your final day, bid farewell to New York City and transfer directly by motor coach to your ship. Alternatively, you may choose to cap your visit with an optional excursion to explore the neighborhoods of Brooklyn, or call at Chinatown and Little Italy, before heading to your ship to begin your cruise.
