Passport & Visa Requirements for This Itinerary

Important: You must have a valid U.S. passport to travel on this voyage. Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your planned trip dates. Please note, Viking may deny boarding to guests who do not have the appropriate Passport and VISA documents.

Visa required for: Australia ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) and China*. US passport holders visiting New Zealand after October 1, 2019 will be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA or e-Visa waiver) for visa-free entry into New Zealand. Citizens of the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay may visit New Zealand as tourists for up to three months without a visa. Visitors from the 169 recipient countries (including USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia) are exempted from obtaining a visa prior to their entry to Indonesia. Visa free - short visit is granted for a maximum stay of 30 (thirty) days. 

*Canadian residents - starting January 1, 2019, all Chinese visa applicants are required to log on to the official website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center, to fill in and print out an electronic application form, and to make an appointment online before submitting application documents to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.

Note: Viking is not responsible for obtaining visas nor for advising guests of passport, visa or other immigration requirements, so be sure to verify what is needed for your travels. You may be denied boarding or entry to some counties if you have not obtained the correct visas or documents prior to departure. Viking cannot provide any refunds for unused portions of your cruise/hotel stay or cost to change travel plans should you have missing or incomplete documents.
